Washington, D.C., USA (WNEWS BREAKING) – An alleged manifesto linked to the suspect in the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting has surfaced, as investigators continue to examine the motive behind the attack that authorities say likely targeted President Donald Trump.
Law enforcement officials have not yet publicly confirmed the authenticity of the document, but multiple reports indicate investigators are reviewing writings believed to be connected to the suspect, identified as Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of California.
Investigators reviewing alleged writings
The document, which began circulating online early Sunday, appears to include statements in which the author apologizes to family members, colleagues, and bystanders, while also expressing political grievances.
The writings contain strong language directed at U.S. political leadership and outline what the author describes as “targets,” including senior government officials. The document also references an intent to minimize casualties among non-targeted individuals, though investigators have not verified the accuracy or authorship of these claims.
WNews has reviewed the material but is not publishing it in full due to its graphic and extremist content.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the document was written by the suspect, when it was created, or whether it directly informed the actions taken during the attack.
Motive remains under investigation
Officials have said the suspect appeared to be acting alone, but a full motive has not yet been established.
According to U.S. officials, early findings suggest President Trump may have been the primary target. The shooting took place at the Washington Hilton during the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, a high-profile event attended by political leaders, journalists, and public figures.
A Secret Service agent was injured during the incident but survived due to body armour, officials said.
Third apparent threat incident involving Trump
If confirmed as an assassination attempt, the incident would mark the third known attempt on President Trump’s life, following earlier incidents in 2024. Authorities have not yet formally classified the event under that designation.
Ongoing federal investigation
Federal agencies, including the FBI and Secret Service, are continuing to analyze digital evidence, communications, and any writings connected to the suspect.
Officials are urging the public to avoid sharing unverified materials circulating online, noting that misinformation could interfere with the investigation.
No additional suspects have been identified at this time.
