Krista Thomas stands on the intersection of Main and Cordova streets in VancouverĀ where her late partner, Jerry Martin, once set up a mobile store selling tested heroin, cocaine and other illicit drugs.

Martin, 51, died Friday following a suspected fentanyl overdose, according to Thomas, who is still in shock.

ā€œRight now it’s still pretty surreal,ā€ Thomas told CBC News on Monday. ā€œI haven’t had time to process what has actually happened.ā€
