Four children were found unresponsiveĀ on the shoreline in Portneuf-sur-Mer on Quebec’s North Shore Saturday, and have beenĀ transported to a regional health clinic,Ā Quebec provincial police said.Ā 

The children, all above 10 years old,Ā were among five people reported missing in a 2 a.m. 911 call. They were not breathing when they were recovered on the shore, according to police spokesperson Sgt. Catherine Bernard.

They were part of a group of 11 people fishing together when they were swept up by the tide.

ā€œWe are waiting for news about their health condition, but we fear for their lives,ā€ she said.
