More women suffering from ā€œdebilitatingā€ symptoms of menopause should be presented with the option of hormoneĀ therapy, according to a paper published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ) on Monday.

ā€œThere’s a whole constellation of menopausal and perimenopausal symptoms, some of which can be extremely debilitating, especially to what is relatively a young woman in our day and age,ā€ said Dr. Iliana Lega, an endocrinologist at Women’s College Hospital in Toronto and the paper’s lead author.
