When Robert Perez first left Venezuela for Colombia in 2020, he sought refuge within the 2SLGBTQ+ community and decided to give back by doing what he does best: cut hair. Now he’s living in Montreal and is trying to do the same thing while waiting for his asylum claim to be processed. CBC’s Cassandra Yanez-Leyton spoke with him.
